About
I have a theory that most of us aren’t becoming mature, we’re just getting meaner. I am approaching my 30s and here is where I will prepare by documenting the meanness of friends and strangers and also by highlighting the rare rays of hope. This takes place in New York.
I’m Kevin. I grew up in a tiny apartment with 6 other people in Inglewood Los Angeles. I remember class being dismissed one day because of riots. I’m latino, but people say I talk white. I’m gay but people say they can’t tell. I started a blog called Deviant and from there I was published and edited a magazine which lead to a visit to London and then New York. I loved this city so much that I moved to Brooklyn.
Fly G is one of my best friends in New York. He’s a flight attendant. I think he pops pills but I’m not sure how many. He’s white, and he’s gay, and people can tell. He discovered around 3 years ago that he’s mostly attracted to black men, ghetto clean thugs he calls them. He’s also a bit of a racist, and he freely uses racial slurs. He’s also been there for me when I needed him the most.
When this blog ends I’ll be an adult or at the very least I’ll pretend to be one. Welcome.
